Purge-A-Palooza in the News!

Keep Scottsdale Beautiful is proud to present Purge-A-Palooza, a clean-out event aimed at ridding homes and businesses of what can be reused or recycled responsibly.

The family friendly event on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at Scottsdale Community College is a drop-off recycling event that will accept items from the below list, including cell phones, electronics and medical devices, and will offer kids the opportunity to check out a local garbage truck up-close!

  • Scottsdale Community College, 9000 E. Chaparral Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85256 (Lot F)
  • Event is free, donations are encouraged

  • There will be a local garbage truck for kids of all ages to explore

Accepted items: Arts/Crafts/School Supplies, Cell Phones, Electronics, Eyeglasses, Hangers, Hearing Aids, Ink Cartridges, Prescription Drugs, Medical Devices (Crutches, Walkers, Canes), Plastic Bags Paper (for ON-SITE shredding), Shoes, Textiles & Clothing

Items we cannot accept: CRT televisions, CRT monitors, Rear Projection Televisions, Batteries and Household Hazardous Waste

The mission of Purge-A-Palooza is to encourage Scottsdale residents to recycle surplus items rather than allowing them to take up space in homes or businesses or end up in landfills.

The event has been generously sponsored by Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors and image360. Services have been provided by American Textile Recycling Services (ATRS), City of Scottsdale Solid Waste and Police departments, and Cutters Document Destruction, Prestige Cleaners, Treasures 4 Teachers and Westech Recyclers.
