Summer is almost here, and in Scottsdale, that means Mighty Mud Mania. Since 1976, Scottsdale has been ringing in the summer season with muddy obstacles for people of all ages and abilities. Now in its 39th year, Might Mud Mania is expected to attract 11,000 people looking to get down and dirty. With that many expected to attend, one of the partners, Scottsdale Solid Waste Recycling, is looking for volunteers to help with their recycling efforts at the event.

Volunteers would be on help educate the public on recycling, making sure recycling bins aren’t filled with contaminants. Scottsdale Solid Waste is also looking for runners to take and empty full recycling bins into the recycling truck.

This year’s Mighty Mud Mania will be at Chaparral Park (5401 N. Hayden Rd.) between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
